The Smeg 90cm Dolce Stil Novo Thermoseal oven and four-slice toaster are recipients of this year’s Red Dot Design Awards. It is the fifth consecutive year that Smeg has won this accolade.
Smeg Australia national marketing manager, Olivia Anderson said, “Smeg prides itself on crafting beautifully designed and technologically innovative kitchen appliances for all consumers. Our major and small appliances are a celebration of Smeg’s artistry, and embody both individuality and self-expression.”
With over 5,500 entries from 55 different countries, the Awards jury picked winners on the basis of not only excellent design, but customisability and adaptability to individual needs. Other criteria included degree of innovation, functionality, longevity, ergonomics and self-explanatory nature.
