For extended monitoring needs.

D-Link has launched the Omna wire-free indoor/outdoor surveillance kit for home or small business surveillance applications. The kit and accompanying Wi-Fi Hub offer a number of features including extended battery life, the ability to record locally or to the cloud, combined with a complementary 12-month subscription to the mydlink cloud recording service for up to five cameras.

It also sports a Full HD 1080p video capture, combined with options to record footage to a locally connected microSD Card or USB hard drive, or to the mydlink cloud recording service, as well as clear two-way audio and built-in infrared LED’s, advanced motion detection capabilities. It also supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The cameras are designed to be compact and unobtrusive with magnetic mounts provided for each camera, as well as a separate mounting arm, for placement almost anywhere, indoors or out.

D-Link managing director, Graeme Reardon said the surveillance solution gives users complete flexibility when it comes to keeping an eye on inside or outside the home, regardless of the weather.

“There are no wires to run, and with high-power, rechargeable batteries powering each weather and dust-resistant camera, there is no worrying about running network cabling throughout the home, or be restricted to installing cameras close to a power outlet,” he said.

The kit (DCS-2802KT) retails for $799.95.
