Swiss automatic coffee machine company, Jura, has reached a significant sales milestone, with over five million machines being sold globally. The local subsidiary is also approaching a milestone, on track to sell its 100,000th machine.

Managing director, George Liakatos (pictured), said annual growth rate in Australia has been just over 7% in the last five years and is trending higher, achieving a 17% increase last calendar year.

“To date we have had impressive sales and if anything, are struggling to keep up with demand. I’m very happy to say we have lots in store for this financial year, and believe we can continue to increase our growth rate with a goal of 20%,” he said.

“Traditionally our best performing machines have been the premium Z-Line. With constant new product innovations and developments in the medium segment we have seen strong growth within the E-Line and the newly launched S8 which has been our most successful launch ever,” Liakatos told Appliance Retailer.

Australia is consistently one of Jura’s top 10 performing subsidiaries worldwide with its core markets in Europe where the brand has strong brand awareness. “However, the growth we are experiencing is not isolated within the group with emerging markets in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia also contributing to our overall performance,” he said.

For Christmas Jura is launching the limited edition J6 in a piano white finish. “Outside of this we are focusing on 2019 with our biggest launch planned with new innovations, products and in-store concepts.”
