The new Nokia 3.1 is the fourth Nokia phone designed by Google to land in the Android One family. As well as maximised screen space and an easy to use interface it comes with a set of pre-installed apps and free, unlimited photo storage with Google Photos. It also carries other Google innovations such as Google Assistant, regular security updates and two years of OS upgrades.

Features include a large 5.2-inch HD+ display with 18:9 ratio, a 13MP auto-focus rear camera and 8MP front camera with an 84.6-degree field of view that fits in more selfies. The Octa-Core chipset delivers twice the processor cores and a 50% performance boost on the previous generation model.

HDM Global country manager, Mark  Trundle said the Nokia  3  has  been  an  extremely  successful  part  of  the  Nokia  smartphone  line up  in  Australia.  “With  the  new  Nokia  3.1,  we’ve  crafted  a  perfect  balance  between  power  and  design  in  our  most  affordable  Android  One  smartphone  to  date,” he said.

The  Nokia  3.1  2GB/16GB  variant  will  be  offered  in  three  colours, black/home  and  white/iron  will  be  available  in  August  at  JB  HiFi  and  Harvey  Norman  at  $249,  and  blue/copper  will  be  offered  exclusively  through  Harvey  Norman,  also  priced  at  $249 RRP.
