Available to Aussies for the first time.
Amazon’s annual shopping event, Prime Day, will make its debut in Australia on 16 July at 12pm (AEST) with savings until midnight on 17 July. A number of deals will be available exclusively to Prime members for just 36 hours.
Australia will be the first country to kick off Prime Day with access to deals on books, electronics, DVDs, video games, smart home, cookware and kitchen appliances, toys, fashion, and everyday essentials. Prime Day will also feature savings on Alexa-enabled products.
Australians can join Prime at the introductory price of $4.99 or start a 30-day free trial to participate in Prime Day. Other countries taking part in their own Prime Day this year include the US, UK, Spain, Mexico, Japan, India, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Singapore, Netherlands and Luxembourg.

We hope that Prime Day will provide them with even more value,” Amazon Australia country manager, Rocco Braeuniger said.
Amazon launched Prime in Australia just two weeks ago, offering free two business day delivery on domestic Prime eligible products to nearly 90% of Australians.
