Designed for on-the-go users.

Sony is praised for its industry-leading noise cancelling functionality in its over-ear headphones. Now the company is offering this premium technology at a more affordable price point with the release of its latest flagship truly wireless sports in-ear headphones – the WF-SP700N, along with standard wireless in-ear models, the WI-SP600N and WI-SP500.

For the first time, the SP700N headphones (RRP $299) offers noise cancelling functionality and splash-proof design (IPX4 rating) for use in the rain or at the gym. Noise cancelling is enhanced with Sony’s proprietary Extra Bass sound and Ambient Sound mode enables users to hear surrounding noise, ideal for outdoor use.

The SP700N includes a compact charging case. They provide three hours of battery life with two additional charges from the case, offering a total of nine hours. Sony claims that just 10 minutes of charge will provide up to one hour of playback and 45 minutes of charge will provide a full battery.

The SP600N headphones (RRP $229) offer the same digital noise cancelling, sound technology and splash-proof rating as the SP700N. Compact earpieces are connected by a discreet cable and arc supporters ensure flexibility and a secure fit. Battery life is approximately six hours.

The SP500 headphones (RRP $129) do not feature noise cancelling functionality but its design will naturally recognise ambient sound. They also offer IPX4 splash-proof rating and NFC connectivity. Battery life is approximately eight hours.

The headphones are accompanied by the Sony Headphones Connect app to tailor sound settings. The range is available in four colours black, white, pink and yellow.

An update will enable Google Assistant functionality to enhance the listening experience, allow users to hear incoming messages, make calls and more.
