Ahead of extensive changes.

Miele director of operations and service, Steven Bellamy has moved to Miele New Zealand as the company’s first NZ general manager, reporting to Miele Australia managing director, Sjaak Brouwer. As a result, Miele has appointed Mark Bateson as Bellamy’s successor.

Bateson, who was previously director of human resources, has been with Miele since March 2014. Rachael Leshinsky has filled the HR role. She was previously general manager of HR and legal at Bakers Delight for 14 years.

In his new role, Bateson will oversee the Miele call centre, field service operations, logistics including all our warehouses and delivery services, and technical management team, who provide regulatory, compliance and technical training for the service team and external service partners.

He brings a multi-functional background across sales, marketing and HR with most of his experience within FMCG and pharmaceutical industries.

Bateson said, “Miele will be undertaking some extensive changes over the next 12-18 months as we undertake a process to deliver against the ever evolving requirements of the customer. It is important that we continue to challenge ourselves on what we can do to make it easier for consumers to interact and work with us.

“We will do this through the introduction of new technology as well as some changes to our business model ensuring a greater agility to meet consumer’s needs. Our new track and trace application for our delivery and installation service is the first step in this process.”
