As national prize partner.

Whirlpool was the national prize partner for the 2018 Barnardos Mother of the Year Awards, presented by Aldi, gifting appliances to the 10 national finalists and overall winner.

The Awards showcased the work of everyday mums, and the positive contribution that they make to the lives of their children and within their broader communities.

Whirlpool Oceania general manager for marketing, Liam Bryers said, “We are thrilled to be working with Barnardos Australia to help celebrate and honour mothers everywhere for their tireless efforts and recognise all their hard work. Together, we are committed to providing families the tools they need to make everyday life simple and in turn, bring the family together, so they have more time to do the things they love and make more moments that matter.”

“We are excited to have Whirlpool on board as a partner for the Barnardos Mother of the Year Awards 2018, as it gives us the opportunity to celebrate the important role mothers play in nurturing our next generation to reach their full potential,” Barnardos Australia executive manager, David Levy said.

In celebration of the partnership, Whirlpool is currently running a social media competition until 24 April, 2018 to find and recognise the ‘Whirlpool Mother of the Year’. Hosted on the Whirlpool Cooking Australia Facebook page, the competition asks Australians to nominate a mother through stories, images or videos for their chance to win recognition and an 8.5kg washing machine.
