And 85 inch screen.

TCL is pushing into the ultra-premium TV market with its latest 85” Premium QLED Private Theatre X6 that will sport a price tag of $19,999 in Australia via limited retail distribution from March 2018.

It integrates the latest QLED and AI technologies, supports Dolby Vision and features Quantum Dot technology. At 24.8 mm wide at the thinnest part of the body, the X6 is the thinnest TV above 80” that applies local dimming technology.

Furthermore, it comes with a Harman Kardon sound system, offering 12-sound channels and 360 degree surround stereo sound with a 10 inch woofer. Both Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 sound technology and DTS: X 7.1.4 technology are supported for complete surround sound.

The 85” Premium QLED Private Theatre X6 has three different mounting options – it can be hung on the wall, set on a cabinet or placed on the floor with a designated theatre stand (sold separately).

“We did a soft launch with QLED in 2017 but it wasn’t a focus for us and there was no big drive. However, that will change this year, in line with Samsung’s direction. Essentially what they do, we follow,” TCL national sales director, Jason Carrick said, making reference to Samsung’s QLED Alliance, in partnership with TCL and Hisense, which was formed in early 2017.

“Based on internal conversations and with our retail partners, we expect growth in the TV market in 2018, particularly in value terms. Consumers are looking to bigger screens, value for money and a more premium offering,” he added.
