The South Australian Radio Rentals Group, which also owns RT Edwards in Queensland, has now expanded into the NSW market under a new brand, Gedd!t. Three stores have opened – one in Jesmond in Newcastle, a second in Penrith in Sydney’s west, and a third in Bateau Bay on the Central Coast. The company has confirmed plans to roll out two more stores in western Sydney by Christmas this year.
Speaking to Appliance Retailer, Radio Rentals Group CEO and Managing Director, Nick Palmer described the expansion as a “natural next step” which will provide more choice to NSW customers and fill a gap in the rental market with a superior offering to buy, rent or interest free purchases.

“We believe there is an exciting opportunity to expand our business into the large and fast growing NSW market. We have a great range of leading brands across the home appliance and home electrical space,” he said.
The Group has introduced a brand new store design to complement the new brand’s ‘DNA’. “The stores are bright, contemporary and compact, and specifically designed to work in a shopping centre environment. Pricing is very competitive, and we are experimenting with a range of new promotional ideas. Gedd!t strives to be open, straight talking and highly customer centric.
“Our range is superior to our rental competitors, our retail prices and rental rates are highly competitive, often best in market and far lower than some other rental competitors, and our service is second to none,” Palmer added.

Renting with gedd!t includes (at no extra charge), delivery and installation, service throughout the life of the rental contract, on site and 24/7 phone support on technology, as well as opportunities to upgrade goods part way through a rental term, or retain goods at the end of the term without any additional payment or negotiation.
