At Winning Appliances Kingston store.

Last week, Vintec hosted a private wine appreciation night at the new Winning Kingston store for 30 architects and builders with special guest, Tim Kirk, winemaker of the year and CEO of Clonakilla, who shared his family’s winemaking wisdom and conducted a very intimate masterclass on Clonakilla wines.

The main focus of the evening was to showcase the benefits of wine cellaring and share Vintec’s love and passion for wine, according to Vintec Club Manager Thibaut Caumont, who co-hosted the evening and conducted a wine cellaring masterclass, showcasing the range of Vintec climate-controlled wine cabinets and explaining the importance of correct wine storage.

Guests had the privilege to sample some the winery’s best wines with the winemaker and were the first in Australia to taste the new 2016 vintage of the world renowned Shiraz Viognier, set to be released in October 2017.

Vintec’s Thibaut Caumont told Appliance Retailer, “Coming from the wine industry, the Vintec team is obviously quite passionate about wine. We believe that hosting this kind of wine appreciation event is an excellent way to support our trade partners, by personally engaging with their customers and sharing our love for wine.”

“It was a privilege to welcome Tim Kirk on this night, and definitely a treat for all attendees to be the first to taste his not-yet-released 2016 Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier.”

Vintec plans to host another trade wine Appreciation night at Winning Fortitude Valley in October. Throughout the year, Vintec also hosts a large number of Vintec Club Private Tastings exclusively for Vintec Club members (owners of Vintec & Transtherm wine cellars), with renowned chateaux from all over the world offering its customers the money-can’t-buy opportunities to rub shoulders with winemakers and extend their knowledge about wine cellaring and its enjoyment.
