Apple has released is fiscal results for Q3 ended July 1, 2017, posting quarterly revenue of US$45 billion, up 7% from US$42.4 billion in the previous year quarter. Services revenue hit an all-time quarterly record of US$7.3 billion, representing 22% growth over the previous year. “Our services business has become the size of a Fortune 500 company, a milestone we have reached sooner than expected,” CEO Tim Cook said.
Apple sold over 41 million iPhones during the quarter, up 2% in units and 11.4 million iPads, up 15% for the quarter. “We received our highest global market share in over four years based on IDC’s latest estimate of tablet market results for the June quarter,” Cook said. Sales for iPhone 7 Plus were up as were Macs with revenue for the latter growing 1% to US$4.2 billion.
