Fujitsu General is currently on TV, in magazines and across the South Sydney Rabbitohs’ and Essendon Bombers’ jerseys and guernseys as it supports retailers and drives in-store traffic for its range of air conditioners.

The latest television commercial sees brand ambassador, former Australian cricket captain Mark Taylor showing off his paper plane skills β€” it only seems like yesterday he was playing the mandolin for us β€” with a version of this creative replicated in Fujitsu’s print campaign. The brand is also sponsoring reigning NRL premiers the Rabbitohs and the now drug scandal free Essendon Football Club from the AFL.

“Many consumers are unaware of the benefits of choosing a ducted air conditioning system,” Dave Smith, general manager β€” sales and marketing, told me. “The Fujitsu General ducted campaign educates consumers about just how easy it is to use a ducted system. It’s the ideal solution for enjoying whole home comfort and control.

“The comprehensive television and print campaign supports dealers by focusing on ducted systems, available only through air conditioning specialists. By reinforcing a consistent message across multiple platforms, we anticipate Fujitsu General will achieve maximum impact with this campaign.”

When it comes to paper planes, however, Mark Taylor is no match for British hip hop star MIA (minor language warning ahoy):
