Laser Corporation today announced it has appointed Vernon Mikhael as the general manager of sales, charged with driving channel growth and expansion across Australia and New Zealand.

Mikhael has worked in the consumer electronics industry for 20 years, including stints at Asus, Toshiba, Uniden, Intel and Microsoft.

Laser said this appointment comes at a vital time as the company undergoes significant channel expansion product category growth, including in tablets, connected home gadgets and wearables.

Managing director Chris Lau said, “2015 is going to be another big year for us and we are pleased to announce Vernon’s appointment. He brings with him product and technical expertise which complements the company’s new product portfolios in tablet computers, connected home and wearable technology.”

Laser is an Australian company with a broad range of consumer electronics, IT peripherals and accessories. It also markets the Navig8r and V Fitness brands.
