Con-cussion: man suffers head injuries in botched JB Hi-Fi robbery

A 24-year-old Melbourne man was taken to hospital with head injuries this morning after a botched attempt to rob the JB Hi-Fi store at Malvern, in the city’s southeast.

“Police were called to the store on Glenferrie Road and observed the man inside the premises, who allegedly forced entry via a rear window around 1.30am,” said Victoria Police Senior Constable and media officer Melissa Seach.

‘The burglar then climbed inside the roof cavity and local police, together with the Canine Unit, negotiated with the man to climb to safety.

“The man refused to comply with police direction and fell approximately two storeys into a concrete stairwell.”
