Apple Australia has confirmed it will soon open its first South Australian Retail Store, in the Adelaide CBD. This will be Apple's 19th Retail Store in Australia, placing it fourth on the list of countries with the most outlets, after the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada; and ahead of Germany, France and Japan.

Details on the exact date Apple Australia will open its store are currently unknown, though Current.com.au understands it will be before the end of February 2013.

Earlier this week, Apple announced a quarterly net profit of $13.1 billion* from $54.5 billion revenue for the 13 weeks to 29 December 2012. While the profit figure matched the corresponding 14-week quarter from the previous year, revenue was up 17 per cent from $46.3 billion, indicating a 6 per cent decrease in Apple's gross margin.
