Family-owned Brisbane appliance retailer Newtons recently hosted a Christmas party for its supplier partners. The store, which will be celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2013, wanted to thanks its business partners for their support during 2012, according to general manager Brian Watson.

"There were about 60 guests from our business suppliers in attendance on the evening – it shows the level of support from our suppliers," Watson said. "We gave out Christmas gifts and we had a number of raffles during the evening.

"A good time was had by everyone: I received around 20 emails following the event saying how much the guests enjoyed the evening and to catch up with everyone."
