Russ Prendergast has been appointed the new home entertainment category marketing manager at LG Electronics. Prendergast has previously worked in FMCG, with Brown-Forman (Jack Daniel’s), Associated British Food (Twinings) and Nestle.

Prendergast has been specifically appointed to oversee the launch of LG’s new OLED TV range. This is how it was described in the media release:

“Russ will be coming on board to drive the product launch strategy for LG OLED, the world’s largest and slimmest 55-inch OLED TV. The TV has already been recognised as a category innovation and took home the CES Best of Show award for 2012.”

“We are pleased to welcome Russ to LG Australia’s successful home entertainment category,” Skropidis said in a statement. “With his previous experience we hope to continue to drive the success of our current range and further increase our brand perception within the home entertainment space.

“We’re confident he will help us take the category to the next level.”
