Asko jumps on the Facebook bandwagon with dishwasher promo

Asko Australia has launched its first ever Facebook competition to promote the company’s new Alfresco Dishwasher, calling on consumers and Facebook fans to choose their favourite form of dining to be in the running to win the appliance.

A spokesperson for Asko outlined the details of the competition to Current.com.au.

“We will be placing a series of ads on Facebook asking people which do they prefer – indoor or alfresco dining,” the spokesperson said. “Entering this competition allows them to be in the running for one of our great fortnightly prizes, or the grand prize of a D5644SS dishwasher (if indoor dining is their preference), or an Alfresco Dishwasher (if alfresco dining is their preference).”

As part of the competition, users post their preference on the Asko page and to their wall, and then have the opportunity to share these details with friends or on Twitter, or to view other entrants’ submissions.

Aside from the two dishwasher appliance grand prizes, Asko also has a range of fortnightly prizes up for grabs, including decorative lanterns, barbecue utensil sets and Riedel Wine Glass sets. The brand is also giving away copies of the Your Place or Mine cookbook by George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan of MasterChef fame, and the Antonio & Lucia cookbook by Riccardo Momesso.
