SYDNEY, NSW: The verdict of retailers and consumers is in — and it’s loud and clear — Samsung had the most attractive pre-Christmas TV deal on the market during the biggest selling period of the year.

In the lead-up to Christmas, Current.com.au asked readers to vote on which of the four major TV suppliers were offering the best deal to consumers in the ongoing flat panel TV war.

Samsung, which offered just under $1,300 worth of extras, was the clear winner, attracting 44 per cent of the votes.

The next most attractive was Sony, with 20 per cent. Sony offered just over $1,000 worth of goodies, including PS3 bundle pack.

LG and Panasonic were then very close for third, with LG just edging out the Japanese supplier. LG offered consumers a Microsoft Xbox 360 pack valued at $839, whereas Panasonic’s promotion centred on an Avatar bonus bundle valued at $1,348.

Interestingly, Panasonic’s offer had the highest RRP value, which seems to suggest that net worth of the offer isn’t as important as one might assume.
