SYDNEY, NSW: The big percentage winner this week was David Jones, which led the seven major listed retailers with a 6.74 per cent increase in its share price since opening on Monday.

Three retailers went backwards this week, with Myer, Woolworths and JB Hi-Fi recording falls across the five trading days.

David Jones was also the big winner in real dollar terms, improving $0.30 to $4.75. Wesfarmers, owners of the Bunnings and Coles brand, amongst others, also performed well, improving $0.14 (0.42 per cent) to $33.42.
