SYDNEY, NSW: Nokia is set to unveil its “aggressive” new strategy to take on the surging popularity of the iPhone, Android-based mobile phones and Samsung’s nascent Bada operating system.

Beginning tomorrow with the launch of the new N8 mobile phone handset, which is Nokia’s new all-touch iPhone attempted killer running off Symbian3, Nokia will embark on the “aggressive renewal of its smartphone strategy”. Nokia has been suffering from relevance issues in the wake of the iPhone’s enormous uptake and the emergence of the Android operating system across multiple handset suppliers, such as HTC, LG and Samsung.
