SYDNEY, NSW: Cisco has today announced that its new range of Flip video cameras will be released late this month, in time for Christmas, with a new design, video quality and share software features.

The two new products, the Flip MinoHD and Flip UltraHD shoot and share pocket video cameras use integrated image stabilisation and a higher frame rate of 720p resolution at 50 frames per second to reduce shaky-looking videos.

FlipShare software comes pre-loaded on both models and can be used to organise and share videos on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

“Since Flip Video launched in Australia a year ago, we’ve seen growing demand in the market for shoot and share pocket video cameras,” said Todd Lynton, managing director of Cisco consumer products. ANZ. “We’re working hard with our partners to keep building the category by communicating the benefits of quickly capturing a experience and easily sharing it with friends and family.”

The Flip MinoHD 8GB has an RRP $279, the Flip MinoHD 4GB has an RRP $229, and the Flip UltraHD 8GB is $279. The Flip Ultra HD is also 25 per cent slimmer than previous models and uses standard AAA batteries or a rechargeable battery which comes with the product.
