SYDNEY, NSW: After leading Uniden Australia and New Zealand for more than six years, managing director Kuni Ishii has been promoted to director of sales for Uniden Europe. He will return to Japan on 29 October 2010 to take up the new role.
“This is a challenging and exciting position as he spearheads the company’s growth in the DECT market,” said a spokesperson.
Ishii has been replaced by Kaz Yoshino, who has had already enjoyed a long and successful career in the consumer electronic business.
Yoshino has been responsible for driving growth in a number of overseas markets and will bring a wealth of experience and talent to Uniden.
Ishii passed on his thanks to all of Uniden’s dealer partners for their support and friendship during his time in Australia and New Zealand. He reported that he is confident the company will continue to grow and deliver outstanding consumer products into the future.
