MELBOURNE, VIC: Clive Peeters head office staff are to be interviewed by Harvey Norman, and may be retained under the new administration, according to representatives of the receiver, PPB.

Earlier this week, a notice sent the Australian Securities Exchange explained that store staff from the 32 Clive Peeters stores sold to Harvey Norman Holdings would be retained. Furthermore, Harvey Norman has offered staff from the stores not purchased interviews, with the possibility of placement throughout the wider Harvey Norman network.

Clive Peeters was placed in receivership on 19 May 2010. On Friday 2 July 2010, it was announced that Harvey Norman Holdings had commenced proceedings to purchase the failed retail group.
