SYDNEY, NSW: Samsung has announced it will be offering consumers experiences such as helicopter rides and trapeze training as part of a new promotion for its NX or 2View cameras.

The company this morning announced a promotion in which customers who purchase a Samsung NX10 camera from now through to 30 June will receive a $150 RedBalloon experience voucher.

Customers who buy a Samsung 2View camera (ST550, ST500, PL150 or PL101) in the same period will receive a $50 voucher.

RedBaloon vouchers allow users to effectively choose their own adventure, catering to multiple tastes with 2,500 experiences on offer, Samsung said.

Samsung’s NX10 is a DSLR inside the frame of a digital compact camera, while the company’s PL and ST series cameras include a 1.5-inch colour LCD screen located on the front of the camera, known as 2View.

Along with the new promotion, Samsung has also announced an extension of its 2View range, with the launch of the PL150 and PL101 models.

The new models allow the front LCD screen to be used to frame video as well as for digital stills.

The PL150 also features 720p HD video recording, as well as an optional HDMI adaptor so HD video and still images can be viewed on an HD TV or monitor.

The range’s existing child mode and self timer features have also been enhanced, with child mode now able to play music and self timer extending its function to video recording.
