Uniden enters video surveillance market

Uniden Australia has just unveiled the UWS 1101, which is the first product in Uniden’s new wireless video surveillance range.

According to Uniden, the new range of digital encrypted surveillance products set new benchmarks in performance and are a complete video surveillance solution, with a choice of cameras monitors and PC connectivity for recording.

One of the advantages of the new product offering from Uniden is the fact that it utilises digital FHSS wireless technology, for added security and an interference-free signal. This also means that the signal broadcast can be transmitted up to 150 metres and can be replayed time and time again without a reduction in quality.

The wireless surveillance range includes a 3.5 inch and 7 inch wireless video monitor, portable wireless camera and a weatherproof wireless camera suitable for outdoor use.

Some of the features include infrared night vision, colour display (full screen, auto scan or quad view), digital zoom, and pan and tilt capability.

Software is also incorporated into the unit which includes scheduled recording and playback features, as well as smart motion detection.

The UWS 1101 bundle will include a 3.5 inch monitor and portable camera and will be available in January 2010 for an RRP of $299. An optional weatherproof outdoor camera (UWS 1010) and optional portable camera (UWS 1100) are also available now and come at an RRP of $149 each.
