Ilve has just announced that it will be one of the sponsors for the Sydney International Food Festival. As a part of the sponsorship world renowned chefs will be cooking in specially designed Ilve working kitchens.

The Sydney International Food Festival will commence in October and replaces the previous format of Good Food Month.

All of the previous favourites of the Good Food Month will return under the new format, such as the Night Noodle Markets and Hats Off Dinners. But one of the major highlights is et to be the World Chef Showcase Weekend (9 – 11 October), which will feature prominent chefs like Meil Perry and Kylie Kwong cooking on Ilve supplied working kitchens.

Daniel Bertuccio from Ilve marketing commented on the partnership.

“This showcase is an amazing opportunity for us,” he said. “Sydney’s best will be there as well as some absolute icons, I can’t wait to see what Japanese culinary master Yoshihiro Murata comes up with on our kitchen.”

This showcase will combine cooking demonstrations, talks and tastings from the chefs.

The Ilve sponsorship will also extend to Rosehill Elizabeth Farm for the Festival of the Olive on 24 -25 October. This is home to Australia’s oldest European olive tree.

The two day event celebrates Western Sydney’s food and culture and includes numerous cooking demonstrations and provides a chance for people to meet celebrity chefs, olive growers and food merchants.

Ilve is also set to sponsor further suburban events throughout the month held by the Ashfield and Fairfield City councils.
