SYDNEY: Kodak has signed an agreement with Officeworks to supply all of its stores with its new Adaptive Picture Exchange (APEX) dry photo-labs and associated Picture Kiosk order stations by April 2009.

Ultimately we expect our partnership with Kodak to dramatically grow our photo printing business and make us a true photo destination for consumers,” said Officeworks general manager merchandise & marketing, David Oakley.

“Officeworks will offer an even wider range of popular photo products while minimising cost and complexity. They will continue to drive the photo category as a core business for the company while importantly, continuing to provide every day value to its customer base.”

The Kodak APEX system is modular, behind-the-counter thermal dry lab system that allows consumers to print photos, make enlargements, as well as create calendars, collages and DVDs.

“Officeworks will be able to offer its customers a fast, reliable, environmentally friendly and cost effective print service which will help them drive their bottom line while growing their photo printing business,” said Kodak Australasia business general manager, Consumer Digital Group, Grant Smith.
