SYDNEY: Hot on the heels of its Volvo a week giveaway news yesterday, Samsung is today offering another ground-breaking promotion — a free gift every hour until Christmas in a $380,000, 1,488 product giveaway.
Samsung is taking plenty of action to stave off a widely-feared slowdown on consumer spending this Christmas. This latest promotion offers consumers the chance to win prizes for purchasing selected digital cameras, camcorders, MP3 players and DVD players in an hourly prize draw every day from on 1 November 2008 through to 2 January 2009.
Of the 24 Samsung products given away each day, the prizes include digital cameras, camcorders, MP3 players, Blu-ray players and even a 32 inch HD ready LCD TV.
“Cameras, camcorders, MP3 players and DVD players will rank highly on many Christmas wish lists and we want to give customers the chance to win a product they can choose to keep for themselves or even wrap up to go under the tree,” said Samsung Electronics marketing manager, AV Division, Sagar Dave.
“This is a unique promotion for our customers. With 24 Samsung products being given away every day we are increasing the opportunity to win. We’re as excited as our retailers and customers about this promotion,” said Dave.
