The Detroit News is reporting that a married couple is currently facing trial over an organised stealing spree focused on Dyson vacuum cleaners. The pair is facing five years in jail if convicted.

According to the story in the local news, Tina and Darin Young stole 63 Dyson vacuum cleaners and then offloaded the appliances on eBay. The couple would undercut the retail price on the vacuums by $250, although the margins are distinctly better when you’re not paying for the stock in the first place.

The pair, from Macomb County in Michigan, were bailed for $25,000 and $10,000 respectively, and are due to face court again on 20 October.
