E3!’s Vanessa Jordan nominated for Telstra award

BRISBANE: Vanessa Jordan, owner and director of E3!, is the one of best business women in Queensland this year, and is competing against five other Qld women in the Telstra Business Women’s awards.

Jordan was nominated in two awards categories: the Nokia Business Innovation Award, and the PricewaterhouseCoopers Young Business Women’s Award, open to entrants who will be aged 34 years or under as at Friday 6 June 2008.

To be considered, applicant cannot apply for an award, they must be nominated by someone who has done business with them. Jordan was nominated by Therese Tarlinton from a company called Born With Style, which supplies Jeep babyware to companies like Babyco, after she developed some product for her.

Being named as a finalist means that Jordan will now be going through the state judging process as a finalist in the two categories. The Qld award winners will be announced on 18 November 2008.

Along with business partners Jillbert Mulder and Richard Chen, Jordan sources and develops market-ready consumer electronic products for major retailers and distributors worldwide. The company has just opened its European office in The Netherlands.

Jordan is directly responsible for the sales and promotional strategy, and product portfolio for major retail and import customers. She has been involved in the consumer electronics industry in the Australian market for seven years, having worked with every major buying office in Australia and also the Hong Kong sourcing offices of Woolworths and Coles Groups in Asia.

Also, E3! as a company recently won two Australian Business Awards: the 2008 Australian Business Award for Enterprise, and the 2008 Australian Business Award for Innovation. These awards attracted 1,726 entrants from across various industries.
