SYDNEY: With its decision to leave the television market, Philips Electronics Australia today confirmed it is interested in any approaches from companies looking to distribute the remaining products in its portfolio.

When asked whether he would entertain approaches for distribution partners in the Australian market, Philips Consumer Lifestyle CEO Harry Van Dyk said “yes, we would absolutely”.

With existing distribution deals signed with Crest Electronics for accessories, Ingram Micro for cordless phones, and Housewares International for kitchen appliances, as well as garment care (irons) and personal care (shavers), the available categories would include mini and micro home theatre and audio systems as well as MP3 players.

“We will continue with Breville and Crest and look at the other categories in Consumer Lifestyle that are not covered by our distribution partners,” Moran said.

All interested companies should contact Matt Moran for more information.
