SYDNEY: Convoy International has today announced the new appointment of Rex Halverson as Queensland-based trainer.

Halverson’s role at Convoy will be to develop effective sales and motivational training programs. For Convoy, this is an opportunity to expand and increase the frequency of training to its customers.

Halverson, who has recently moved to Australia from California, has worked in the consumer electronics industry for 32 years. After spending 18 years in retail, starting on salesroom floor, he rose to store manager and then corporate sales manager. Later, he launched Monster Cable in the United Kingdom and Europe.

“We are delighted that Rex has moved to Australia to join the Convoy team,” said Convoy International managing director Alex McInnes. “The combination of his sales experience across all levels as well as his huge achievements within the Monster Cable company ensures Rex will be valuable member of the team.

“A key part of our business is dealer training and with Rex on board it reflects the importance we place on developing relationships with our retail partners and consumers.”
