SYDNEY: Vintec, the marker of Transtherm wine fridges, has acquired Crown Commercial Group, a supplier of commercial refrigeration and catering equipment.
Crown Commercial will become a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Vintec Transtherm Australia, but will retain its existing name and will continue to be managed by two of its founding members including CEO Bill Trahanas.
“We believe Crown Commercial’s operations will perfectly complement Vintec Australia’s current product offering and will significantly extend the range of services available to our customers,” said Vintec director Jean-Marie Simart, who is also now executive director of Crown Commercial.
Crown Commercial also trades in interior design and completes fit-outs for the hospitality and food industries, including cafes, restaurants, clubs and hotel kitchens.
Vintec makes climate-controlled wine cabinets mainly for commercial use, but distributes a selected range through retail in around 250 stores in Australia and New Zealand.
