SYDNEY: SanDisk has signed a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro for its entire retail product range, expanding its Australian network which already includes Cellnet and Brightpoint.

Ingram Micro will distribute the flash memory maker’s full suite of retail products including audiovisual, USB, cards and accessories and mobile computing solutions.

“Ingram Micro is the largest IT distributor in the world so naturally we are looking forward to engaging in this new partnership,” said SanDisk country manager – Australia, Joshua Velling.

"Adding the excellent distribution systems and wide reseller reach of Ingram Micro to our existing channel partnerships can only strengthen our Australian presence. This partnership is sure to support our growth targets for 2008.”

An Ingram Micro spokesperson said the partnership with SanDisk had strategic significance.

“The consumer home and office market is a growing focus for Ingram Micro,” said Ingram Micro’s director – product management and marketing, Matt Sanderson.

“Partnering with an industry leader such as SanDisk in Australia demonstrates our intention to bring the best products available in this market to Australia’s retail, SMB and IT corporate resellers.”

SanDisk’s original distributor for the Australian market, VME Systems, was acquired by Cellnet in late 2006.
