SYDNEY: Bing Lee has announced its top 5 gift requests for Mother’s Day, based on research conducted by general manager, Phil Moujaes, on working mothers within Bing Lee’s own staff.

“Apart from a few surprises like skydiving or bungy jumping, most Mums prefer to be pampered in some way on their special day”, said Moujaes. “So every year we put together a range of options with a Bing Lee gift idea to suit every Mum and every budget.”

In hottest demand this year was, apparently, a “really efficient hair dryer that styles hair without the dreaded frizz.” Moujaes recommended the Sunbeam Salon Technique, which produces negative ions to reduce water droplet size and smooth frizz.

Second in line was a digital photo frame/clock radio, to allow mums to wake up next to a photo of their loved ones. Moujaes recommended a $249 Philips model, with a seven-inch display, pre-programmed relaxation music and USB and SD memory card slots.

Third was a GPS navigation system, with Moujaes’ recommendation a Voxson GPS Navigator.

The bottom two tiers were filed by compact digital cameras, such as the Samsung 8.2 Megapixel Compact with 2.5 inch LCD screen and an LCD television for watching TV in bed. Moujaes recommended a Sharp 48cm widescreen model.
