MELBOURNE: Electrolux has announced its Ergorapido 2-in-1 battery stick vacuum and its new Energica corded stick vacuum.have both been awarded a ‘Red Dot’ International Design Award.
The annual awards are judged by an international panel on innovation, functionality, and the formal quality. This year, over 7,000 submissions from over 60 countries entered the competition.
“This distinction acknowledges our creativity and innovation both as a design team and as a company, and also showcases a successful joint effort between designers, R&D and marketing and importantly sales, such has been the case in Australia,” said Electrolux Floor Care and Small Appliances global design director, Thomas Johansson.
The Ergorapido is available now. The new Energica corded stick is due to be launched in Australia mid year. Electrolux claims the Energica delivers suction power comparable to a traditional canister vacuum, but in a stick configuration.
