Mitsubishi has launched its laser television at the CES, claiming the rear projection sets will provide more extensive colour range and clarity than either plasma or LCD.
The 65-inch sets will provide the most vivid colours and depth of field of any current high definition television as laser is the purest form of light, said Mitsubishi executives.
The televisions will be available later this year in the US for similar prices to equivalent size plasma or LCD screens, said Mitsubishi, but Mitsubishi Australia said no timing or market allocations had been decided and therefore could not confirm a local release.
