SYDNEY: Former Castel Electronics NSW state manager, Peter Shamoon, who left the company when it lost the Toshiba agency, has joined audiovisual distributor International Dynamics Australia (IDA) and will manage the growing Harvey Norman national account.

Shamoon has joined IDA as NSW state manager and national account manager – Harvey Norman, and will leverage existing relationships within the retailer to further IDA’s business in the electrical retail channel.

IDA has also appointed Glenn Broad to national account manager for the specialist and department store channel.

The company distributes high-end audiovisual brands including Loewe, InFocus, Klipsch and Rotel, and claims the recent recruitment drive is the biggest in the company’s history and will help it better service its current dealer network and provide more training and store visits to Harvey Norman.

“IDA is now in a unique position of being able to offer products and customer service across a range of market segments, including mass market chains, specialist retailers and custom integrators,” said IDA managing director, David Probert.

“We have invested in an experienced and enthusiastic sales team, to help the company grow to a new level, and are striving to further improve our levels of customer service to all our  accounts.”

The two new recruits join a sales force with representation in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.
