SYDNEY: Canon Australia has launched a new online initiative today that allows customers to upload a digital image, select the Pixma printer they want to test and receive a free print of the photograph from that printer, delivered to their designated address.

The initiative is designed to allow consumers to see the image quality of the Pixma printer range. To access the service, consumers need to register online.

“We understand that some people are unaware of the quality they can achieve when printing at home — the Pixma Online Demonstration showcases how easy it is to obtain lab quality results when using Canon,” said Canon Australia’s product manager – Ink Printing Consumer Imaging Products Group, KC LU.

“The Pixma Online Photo Demonstration will also give consumers the confidence they need to select a printer suitable for their household.”

The online site offers consumers the chance to trial one of five Canon Pixma printers and includes key features on each model to help them make the right choice for their needs. The printers are categorised according to the user’s requirements:

The Advanced Range includes the MP970 and MP610; the Office Range compprises the MP830 and MX700; and the Everyday Range is the MP520.

“The proof is in the printing and we are encouraging consumers to access the site, test drive one of Canon’s Pixma models and see the Canon difference for themselves,” Lu added.

Along with the free image, consumers who participate in the program can receive additional product information and special offers.
