SYDNEY: LG Electronics has today announced its new range of compact Round Cavity Microwaves available in white and silver and ranging from RRP $161 to RRP $311.

As the name suggests, the range features a round cavity interior, which allows for larger trays. The LG 34 litre microwaves have a large 360 mm tray.

“LG’s new range of Round Cavity Microwaves boast a range of clever features that do the thinking for you, making the humble microwave a true gastronomic appliance,” said LG Electronics category manager, whitegoods, Glacel Lubrin.

LG’s new microwave range also has new Quick Start function that allows the user to set it to 30 seconds at maximum power at the touch of a button.

“So much more than a re-heating devise, the new range features handy quick touch auto cook menus for frequently cooked dishes like popcorn, vegetables or meat, and auto defrost allows consumers to melt or soften with more accuracy. Additionally, there is a choice of powerful Watt capacities available to suit all needs,” Lubrin said.

The 34 litre models (silver RRP $311 and white RRP $249) have the following functions: Sensor Cook and Sensor Reheat, Auto Cook, Auto Reheat and Auto Defrost, Quick Start, Quick Defrost and Adjustable Timer/Weight.

The 26 litre MS2647GR model in white (RRP $199), has a Smart LED Display, Quick Touch Auto Menu, Auto Cook, Auto Reheat and Auto Defrost, Quick Start, Quick Defrost and Auto Defrost.

At RRP $161, the 23 litre, white MS2347GR model – also has a Smart LED Display, 19 Menus, Quick Start, Quick Touch Auto Menu and Auto Defrost, Express Defrost and the Add Minute function.
