SYDNEY: Brother, the international manufacturer of laser printers, fax machines and labellers, has released a ‘multi-lingual’ lightweight labeller to simplify labelling of household goods such as jars and tools for RRP $69.
The P-Touch PT-1010 handheld labeller is available in blue and metallic silver and has a large 12 character LCD screen. A separate alpha-numeric keypad simplifies typing labels.
To ensure overseas visitors still know which jar says ‘cookies,’ the labeller allows users to choose from 18 different languages including Spanish, Italian and French. It also has nine different font types, 83 symbols and six different types of frames and borders.
One feature the company claims is particularly useful for frozen food and consumables is the Auto Time and Date feature. This feature prints time and date information on each label, so users can keep track of the validity of a labelled object.
“The brother PT-1010 is the ultimate handy home labeller,” said Brother, general manager for customer service and marketing, Gabriel Hamid.
“It is simple to use, versatile and more importantly, value for money.”
The PT-1010 is designed to use the Brother range of 3.5, 6, 9 and 12 mm wide laminated tapes. It comes with a one year warranty, user guide and starter tape and is available in participating Brother retailers nationally.
