SYDNEY: Breville’s Coffee Lovers website received over 34,000 hits within the first month of its launch and Breville’s brand director, James Robinson, said that consumer needs were the key motivator for the website redesign.

Breville’s online coffee guide gives consumers practical steps on how to make great coffee using expert tips and simple to understand images.

“We believe making good espresso is an art-form which can be easily learned — much like cooking a great dish,” said Robinson.

“We would like to make sure that everyone gets that delicious silky coffee flavour every time they use a Breville coffee machine.”

The Coffee Lovers website outlines a series of simple steps in the coffee making process: getting the grind right, extracting a good espresso and texturing your milk correctly.

“Having the right user-friendly machine is a must for good coffee and coupled with the right education and a little bit of practice, people really can master home espresso making. The new website gives us direct access to coffee loving consumers and is a great tool for educating people,” said Robinson.

“Ultimately we are encouraging people to purchase or upgrade their machines. If people love and use their espresso machines, they will share their experience with their family and friends, creating positive word of mouth.”

Breville advised that its Coffee Lovers website will continue to grow with additional features to be added over the next couple of months, including a user forum and greater editorial content to encourage people to experiment with their coffee machines at home.
