SYDNEY: Portable navigation company, TomTom, today added to its popular ONE range with the new entry-level TomTom ONE 3rd Edition designed for portability and ease of use.

Launching in October at a price yet to be confirmed, the ONE 3rd Edition has the latest maps preloaded and comes with new ease of use features.

The lightweight unit boasts a 3.5-inch full colour screen, 512MB internal memory, USB and a lithium ion battery with two hours operating use.

“The new TomTom ONE 3rd Edition is the answer for drivers who want a portable navigation device that is easy to use, has the latest maps and technologies and is affordable,” said Harold Goddijn, TomTom’s chief executive officer.
“With this introduction, we are offering customers a new entry level navigation device of even higher quality.”

New features include fixed-speed camera alerts and also recalculates the route for the driver if they want to deviate from it or if a roadblock occurs.

According to TomTom, the ‘Find Alternative’ option adds flexibility to the driver in planning his route. Also, current street names can be displayed while travelling.

TomTom’s range also includes the GO 720, ONE XL and Rider 2nd Edition.
