Electrolux Asia Pacific leader meets locals during APEC week

SYDNEY: While Sydney hosted APEC leaders, Electrolux hosted a leader of their own when the new head of Electrolux major appliances Asia Pacific Gunilla Nordström met the Electrolux Australia and New Zealand executive team and local manufacturing plant managers.

During her three-day visit from September 5 to 7, Nordström met with managing director Trevor Carroll and his executive team at Riverwood head office and local plant managers before heading out to call upon Electrolux key customers.

In an address to head office employees, Nordström spoke of her new family home life in Singapore and informed Riverwood employees that she had spent 18 of her 24 career years outside her native Sweden.

Nordström, who holds a Master of Science degree in industrial engineering and management, recently joined Electrolux from Sony Ericsson in China. Now four weeks into her new job, Nordström is participating in the company’s drive to develop new products based on the company’s consumer insights program.
