SYDNEY: Kenwood have released some new products, the FP950 food processor with a built-in ‘add ‘n’ weigh’ scale and the SC5000 and SC2000 steam mops, which they are supporting with point of sale material and cash back offers by redemption.

According to Kenwood, the SC5000 (RRP $169) produces 30 per cent more steam than other models and produces steam within 30 seconds of start up. It also features a detachable two stage handle for spot cleaning, 800 watts of power, a 350 ml boiler tank that produces 20 minutes of constant steam, and a convenient on/off pedal switch.

The SC5000 and the SC2000 (RRP $129) both include two machine washable ‘magic cloths’, a funnel, water measure and a two year warranty.

To provide retailers with a sales promotion, Kenwood are offering consumers a $25 cash back on the SC5000 or a $15 cash back on the SC2000 steam mop via redemption between 1 August and 30 September 2007. Point of sale material will be available in store to promote this bonus offer including cash back forms and wobblers.

An Australian first for Kenwood is the FP950 food processor (RRP $399) with a built-in electronic ‘add ‘n’ weigh’ scale that displays the weight of the bowl contents on an illuminated LED screen. This scale enables the weight of each ingredient to be measured accurately as it is added to the bowl.

In addition, the FP950 provides several functions in one compact machine with accessories that allow quick and easy conversion from a food processor, to a glass jug blender or a metal centrifugal juicer.

Standard attachments include knife blades; a thick shredding/slicing disc; a fine shredding and slicing disc; a julienne disc; a rasping disc; a dough tool; a twin-geared metal whisk; a metal centrifugal juicer and a citrus juicer; a mini bowl and blade; and a glass multi-mill.

The FP950 has a sturdy die-cast metal base and is driven by a 900 watt motor with a dual speed drive system offering variable speed plus pulse and it has a five year warranty.
