MELBOURNE: Freshtel Holdings Limited has appointed former Sensis CFO and general manager – international strategy, John Coates, to the role of chief financial officer, effective immediately.
“I am delighted to welcome a business leader of John’s calibre to the Freshtel team,” said Freshtel CEO, Rhonda O’Donnell.
“While he will be very much focused on improving the financial performance of the company, he will also play an important strategic role in identifying opportunities for growth and seeing these to fruition.
“Freshtel regards this appointment as fundamental in providing firm foundations for continued growth and entry into the next stage of our evolution as a leading developer and wholesaler of internet telephony solutions,” she said.
Coates’ role as CFO and general manager – international strategy at Sensis from 2001 through until 2007 saw him successfully negotiate and integrate seven mergers and acquisitions, while developing the company’s Asian investment strategy.
