SYDNEY: The Good Guys have announced that Darren Stewart will come on board as the new joint venture partner for the Auburn, New South Wales store located in the highly-competitive Parramatta Road precinct.

Stewart, current proprietor of The Good Guys store in Auburn, will take over as joint venture partner (JVP) on 2 July and will work alongside caretaker JVP, Bret Quinn, at the Auburn store.

Located in the Auburn Home Mega Mall on Parramatta Road, the store currently competes in one of the country’s most heated retail environments, with competitors such as Harvey Norman, Retravision, Office Works, Second’s World, Domayne and Clive Peeters all operating within short distance of each other.

The Good Guys store in Auburn was recently thrust into administration and changed ownership after Greg Clarke has sold his share of the store.

The Good Guys Bathurst store on Stockland Drive also recently underwent an internal fitout, with renovations set to commence from Monday 25 June through to Monday 9 July, with the store re-opening on Wednesday 25 July.

The renovation was part of an Australia-wide brand refresh for The Good Guys, with three other stores also receiving internal fit-outs, including locations at Townsville, Kawana Waters in Queensland and Albury in southern New South Wales.
