BRISBANE: The fastest growing retailer in the Australian electrical market – Narta’s Bi-Rite Electrical, has added seven former Betta Electrical stores to its retail group that now comprises approximately 40 stores.

Among the new stores are five shop fronts from the Gunns group in Tasmania which will trade under the HomElectrix sub-brand.

The five stores include the Gunns HomElectrix at 58 Cimitiere Street in Launceston, Gunns Devonport located at 19-25 Don Road, Gunns HomElectrix Deloraine located at 63 Emu Bay Road, Gunns HomElectrix at Ulverstone located at 48 Alexandra Road and Gunns HomElectrix at Glenorchy located at 94 Grove Road.

Also new to the Bi-Rite group is HomElectrix Williamstown located at 82-84 Ferguson Street in Victoria and Bi-Rite Electrical Cowra at 57 Kendale Street in New South Wales.

According to Bi-Rite owner and franchisor, Abdul Sacur, the acquisitions of these stores follow his business model.

“We are looking to eliminate misconceptions on our group’s direction and share our business direction with suppliers for 2006 and beyond,” Sacur told Current.com.au.

“With the ongoing uncertainty in the marketplace, we can now be selective with who we will add as new franchisees to our group.”
